The Blackstone Headwaters Coalition collaborates with local colleges and universities on watershed research. With our long record of successful volunteer organizing, public outreach and grant writing, we are the “go to” organization for local professors and students who seek partners in applying for watershed-related research grants.
One of our partner organizations, the Coes Zone Task Force hosts a Blackstone Watershed Digital Commons aimed at gathering and preserving watershed research studies and research data created by college and university students and faculty in the Blackstone River Watershed. The goal is to build a knowledge base to support further Blackstone River Watershed research, education, outreach and management. We’re just getting started with this “watershed collaboratory and observatory”! If you’re interested in learning more or in publishing your research or in helping to make this Digital Commons more useful, please contact Lance McKee by email: lmckee76@gmail.com.
